What Google Preview does, is create a snapshot image of a website or web page and stores it out somewhere on the internet. Then when you do a search on Google or Yahoo using Firefox or Internet Explorer, it displays that image next to the search results!

What does this mean for you? It's like putting a face to a name. You know how someone says a person's name and you know who they are, but you can't remember what they look like? Searching the internet can (in many cases) be the same way. You don't always remember if you've been to a website before, doing a search on Google or Yahoo. With the image of the website sitting next to the search results, it reminds you of what the website looks like.

Google Preview is a tool that we install on our computers and use on a daily basis. We recommend GooglePreview for anyone who is a moderate to heavy Google or Yahoo search engine fanatic.

The only drawback to GooglePreview is going to be for anyone on a slow internet connection. Images tend to be the slowest part of a website to load and might cause searches to become slower. Don't worry though, GooglePreview can easily be turned on and off with the click of a button!
