Apple's Safari is the Mac based internet browser that has been ported over to Windows. Safari touts the fastest load times which I will agree, using Safari does seem to load pages faster than most other browsers plus the program itself seems to load faster.

Unless you are a die hard Apple fan, there is no huge reason to use Safari over Internet Explorer or FireFox other than performance.

Safari also has many of the same features such as tabbed browsing just like FireFox, Internet Explorer 7 and Opera.

Internet Explorer 7.0 is the latest version of Microsoft's internet browser. Features over IE6 include tabbed pages, addons, tightened security and compliance to the new Web 2.0 standards.

Even though Microsoft has been involved in the internet browser business for a while, (IE3 on windows 95) That doesn't mean they hold a very good track record for security. (Despite their market share in the browser industry).

Maxthon is an internet browser based out of Beijing, directed toward both Chinese and English. Their business partners include both Google and Baidu Inc.

We personally have not used Maxthon however reading through the website profile, we believe it should hold up reasonably well to the web browser competition.

Mozilla FireFox is the most recommended Internet Browser to use over Internet Explorer. Features include tabbed browsing, addons (or plugins), theming (changing the skin or look and feel) along with may other caveats not available in Internet Explorer.

The main reason FireFox stands out among one of the top web browsers is due to it's robust security measures which help eliminate the possible threats of adware, spyware and malware which is usually generated from using Internet Explorer.

Opera Software internet browser is another free, secure browser with rich features such as tabbing, plugins and theming (changing the look and feel). Opera is not as popular as Mozilla FireFox but still ranks as one of the top web browsers for security and usability.
